Communication Specialist

(Fulltime) 

Are you an all-round communications specialist with great writing skills and experience in digital media campaigns? Do you want to contribute your talents towards helping professionals in geosciences and related engineering subjects develop their professional and academic capabilities to help solve the world's energy and resource challenges? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Your Role

For our Communities and Development Team we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to plan and execute communication strategies for EAGE membership, communities, education programmes, and more, through the creation of content, communication campaigns and other materials. 

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute communication strategies for membership, communities and education.

• Create and coordinate communication and production plans.

• Write, proofread and edit content (technical topics) for print & digital media 

• Run high-visibility digital marketing campaigns across professional social channels and ad platforms.

• Coordinate communications for EAGE stands at EAGE and non-EAGE events.

• Advise on communications for new initiatives.

• Collaborate with Media, Design & Layout teams and the Business Intelligence & AI Specialist to analyse performance and identify opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills  

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism or Digital Media.

• Excellent English, C2 proficiency (written and verbal).

• 3+ years relevant work experience.

• Science communications experience and/or good understanding of geoscience or the engineering disciplines is a strong plus.

• Hands-on with CRM systems and social media platforms.

• Experience with digital campaigns and ad management.

• Experience coordinating print and video production.

Nice to have:

• General knowledge of design principles and Adobe suite

• Certifications: Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads
